    CL Ad....

    This is the original ad:

"I am looking to increase my rate effective January when they receive the new annual contract. I am going on my 3rd year this month. I currently charge $120 per week for all ages and $30 per day for part time kids (2-3 days pe week). How have you chosen to increase in the past and how often? What do you suggest?

And parents, I would like your opinion on what is fair.

    Thanks so much! "

    Not bad in my opinion!

    This is a response:

"Well, you are about to lose some daycare parents I bet. Why be greedy and ask for more? You are already overcharging. I can guarantee it you will lose some parents/children in your care. Good luck to you though and hopefully they will come my way to a more quality, less expensive daycare that does not want to rip them off. Thanks to people like you and their ever raising high prices I will always have a full daycare with my reasonable prices. "

Well that was downright b#tchy and I would think that it would backfire on whoever responded to that ad! She asked for opinions not attacks!

Wow! The person who responded needs to have her hormones checked.

But, the provider shouldn't ask on Craigslist. That is just opening her up for trouble. The only people she needs to worry about is her own clients.

I agree, I wouldn't ask about that on CL but that doesn't mean that she deserved and answer like that. It's sad that someone would want to say something like that and undercut her like that. We're all in the same business so we should all know how difficult this job is and we should be supportive, not trying to take each other down .
