So I just got off the phone with one of my past dcm. Her son aged out of my program and started kinder this August.
I worked very hard with this kid who had really suffered from several behavioral issues and was able to see past them to find out that he is actually a very smart boy. We worked everyday on my kinder readiness about 6 months before school started. Prior to my kinder program, I offer learning through play and free choice.
this boy was kicked out of 9 centers and 6 home daycares before coming to me. I had many struggles, but I worked hard until I found what worked.
SOOOOOOOOO.. the boy just got his first evaluation/grades and conference with the teacher and he is at the top of his class and way above and beyond all state standards with EVERY subject! He even got student of the month for the month of October for being an excellent member of society! happyfacehappyfacehappyface
I am soooooooo excited! The naughty part of me wants to email the poop-head mom that just pulled her child out of my daycare last month, because she says her 3 year old is not learning enough...OOOHHH take that!!

Just wanted to gloat a little and share my happiness too....
