searching forums for pink eye info

I went to "search", typed in pink eye, show threads. Got tons of threads, but NOTHING on pink eye. How do you search on here for things? Thanks.

I'm not the best searcher, but just dealt with a little one with pink eye 2 weeks ago. I enforced my illness policy to the tune of a $60 late fee from a friend who took 90 minutes to pick up her 2 y/o who was 101.2 degrees! She works 5 minutes from my house. Yay for growing a backbone. That was a Monday. DCG came Thursday. (next normal day anyway). Friday, DCG came. Mom said, her cold has gone to her eyes but they weren't crusty so it's not pink eye. 10 minutes later I called mom to pick up. 12 minutes later she arrived. Dr said pink eye. No DC for girl until totally symptom free for 24 hours, regardless of antibiotics. There's no way to tell if it's bacterial or viral. Guess what? Monday 10 min prior to arrival, DCM texts, big sister has it. Siblings must stay home (big sis is school ager I don't watch) so no DCG. Then it was Thanksgiving. Woohoo! No one here got it.

Is there not anyone that can tell me how to search the forums? Search and get what your looking for? I have never understood the tag thing in search. I know what tags are, just not how to search using them.

Thank you. I did get one pink eye thread that way, but mainly lots of stuff not related.

I think the Tag search is the best way to search on the forum. Let me know if any of those links offered the information you needed.
