The Hurricane That Blew Into Town

So yesterday we had category 1 hurricane force winds.

My trampoline flipped over my 6 foot fence, landed upright in the middle of the street, proceeded to skate down the road, flip 5 times, hit a VW Beetle, fliped up and over the car and hit a parked truck. Then it proceede to take a playground zone sign right off the street lamp.

All while I am running down the street chasing it and screaming for my hubby, who could not find his shoes

My trampoline is now in the shape of a taco.

My deck railing came un-bolted and is now beeing held up by my citronella spikes, my fence is blown apart in many different spots, and some shingles have been removed from the roof.

Sooo many houses have not a single, shingle on their roof.

    Then it proceeded to snow.

What a un-relaxing sunday it was.

I think I would have much rather dealt with that than having to put my parents dog down.

How scary! For the future though, the H with the trampoline, stay safe!!! No chasing down giant round sails with metal legs during a hurricane !! Got it?!?!?!

One of the benefits of living in southern CA is that I don't have to deal with hurricanes, tornados or snow. All we have to worry about is earthquakes and even then it's not a real earthquakes unless it's over 5.0, which rarely happens and deffinetely not even a once every year occurence.

I can only imagine what that must of felt like I would have FREAKED out!! What did you guys do about the missing shingles while it was snowing?!?!

Im pretty sure that we will all have our roof's redone in no time. we have more snow coming on wednesday.

I felt the need to chase my trampoline cause we live on a very busy street.

Oh I came out un-scathed! I figured I just had to let it stop flipping.

But the good news is that our insurance will cover all of the repairs. happyface

I guess that's where the "act of God" term comes in to play. That's graet that they'll cover the damages. At least it gives you that much more piece of mind.
