It's an amazing watch isn't it.

I knew NOTHING about the food system before I watched it.

I have a strong urge to get up and throw away a lot of the things in my fridge and pantry. This is going to change the way I buy food from now on.

I haven't watched it....yet. For the following reasons:

I really really really really like certain foods (and sort of don't want to know the truth behind some of them)

I HATE throwing up so I am kinda scared to watch it.......

The part that REALLY tore me up was the older seed cleaner man who got sued to death by Monsanto (the devil) and the poor chicken farmer lady.

The little chicks in the beginning going down the conveyor belt made me tear up. And yes the chicken lady who is so in debt she has no choice but to continue. The stat they threw out with the avg farmer being in debt $500,000 and only bringing in $18,000 a year was just astounding.

A great read to accompany the movie is Animal, Vegetable, Miracle, by Barbara Kingsolver. It discusses our food supply, concentrated animal feed operations, sustainable farming, and a locavore diet. Lots of info, tips, and even recipes.
