Laughing Can Be A Bad Thing!

I have a 4yo and 5yo that their new thing is to laugh hysterically.
Which your probably thinking ok they are kids, laughing is good!
But it is this irritating laugh that they do all day.
While they are coloring, playing games.
While they are eating-laughing until the food falls out of their mouth.
They fall off their chairs because they are laughing so hard.
It is just an irritating fake laugh!
We can't do a single activity because they will start this laughing.
    My nerves are shot!!!!

They think just because it is laughter they can get away with it. I just took a way a fun activity they wanted to do this afternoon, hopefully the laughter will calm down!!!!

It's the same as screaming. It's escalated behavior that is disproportional to their enviornment.

I would stop it. It doesn't make any difference to me if they are laughing loudly, crying loudly, screaming loudly... it's all the same to me.

I wouldn't call it laughing to them. I would tell them to stop screaming. We don't allow screaming here. If they want to scream they need to go lay down and scream in bed.

They have figured out a way to break the rules and have it look like ice cream with chocolate sauce. You know it's not good because it bothers you. That's all you need to know.
