    "You're Meals Are Too Healthy!"

I had a Dad tell me the other day "Your meals are too healthy!"
He was looking at the daily report I send home with his one year old.
We had greek yogurt with granola and strawberries and bananas for breakfast.Cottage cheese, whole wheat pita, apple slices and carrots for lunch.
Graham crackers, raspberries and milk for snack
He was joking with me because his wife was out of town and she had left a menu plan for him to feed the kids but he's a junk food junky.
I guess he was trying to eat as much junk as possible before the wife came back.LOL
The kids refused to eat anything(junk) he gave them.
The 3 year old took one bite of her cheeseburger from McDonald's and asked dad if they had any salmon and roasted potatoes with asparagus at this place.Hilarious!
He also tried to give them a Target hot dog(gag)
The stories the little girl tells me about dinner are so funny, her face as she's telling it is a riot::

That's great I wish more kids were like that. Mine got mad because I told him he had to eat his homemade fries before her could have more broccoli. Then I went wait a minute what did I just tell him.::::::

LOL!! I think some parents feel less guilty about feeding their kids "junk" at home because they eat so well at daycare!!

thats funny, its good that kids know how to eat heathly, this will be a big advantage point when they get older. My own kids don't know what frozen dinners are, I try and feed my own kids healthy food too.

so our school is now doing something called "harvest lunches" healthy meals every monday so they cost 5 dollars a meal (they are approved by the school board) my kids are telling me how some children will not eat the meals because they are "healthy" to them, they are so surprised that kids don't eat healthier.

There was this ONE time I gave my kids instant potatoes. It was years ago, the potatoes were on sale, I was tired etc, etc, etc, etc and they STILL talk about it every freaking time I make potatoes.

They were that disturbed by the texture and taste. I know it's a good thing but I almost don't want to cook potatoes at all because of the teasing they give me everytime. ::
