parents who are happy with your service as long as drop off and pickup go smoothly. they do not ask about what their kid does during the day and don't seem to care. As long as that 5 min. in the morning and another 5 in the evening shows a kid smiling and clean, thats the only thing they want to see. If the diaper is dirty or the kid is unhappy or acting wild, than that of course means that they were like that all day. If I master drop offs and pickups, more and more parents are happy with just that and never ask any questions of me. I think thats sad.
I am seeing this more and more....

I agree. I have one mom that loves to know how things went all day and loves the daily report. Very involved. My other mom does look over the report, mainly to see what her child ate. Other than that she has not asked once what we did all day. She is just in too much a hurry to come and go from my home. Literally runs to her car.- Flag

I was sending home daily notes, but would see them weeks later on the floor of the parent's car.
So, I put up a dry-erase board with the daily info. I didn't think anyone was reading it, so I did a test. I wrote on the bottom "If you read this, tell me".
After 4 days, no one said a word. I got rid of the board. I hate wasting my time!
I send texts or pics via phone once in a while when the kids are having an especially good time. Otherwise, I am working harder on just keeping my mouth shut.- Flag

yeah I used to do daily reports for every child, no matter the age. Now I only do them temporarily for new in-coming infants. the rest was a waste of time or worse, parents would use them against me.....looking for mistakes or whatever in effort to leave with no notice and such.- Flag
