    Indoor Climbers

It's going to be a long winter.

Who has indoor climbers and what type do you have?

    Have you had good results?

Is is worth the investment and space it uses?

    Thanks!!

I used to have this http://www.lakeshorelearning.com/seo...otorskills.jsp but because it is over 19" tall we had to have a fall zone by FCCERS standars so we got rid of it. We haven't replaced it because it took up a lot of room that we really don't have anyway.

I have for years and years and years and I LOVED them. Made my groups days so much better.

This year, however, they limited us to two feet at the highest point (indoors) so NONE of my current ones will work.

Blackcat suggested these awesome PVC climbers...when I was whining about losing mine . (Thanks again, Blackcat!!) I will have to find the link again.

I am getting one, but am having a bit of trouble saving the extra cash ($139 plus shipping) right now as all my appliances (and heat pump) have decided to implode at the same time (10 year mark It is like they know!!!).
      - Unless otherwise stated, all my posts are personal opinion and worth what you paid for them.

I have one of the Little Tikes Slide n' Climb things that looks like a castle. I put it out during the winter months, once it gets too cold to go outside often.

I also just got last night, a new slide climber thing. It's a very nice quality wooden one custom made for my sister's friend. They were done with it and needed the space, so we have it now. It's bigger than the slide n climb, and gorgeous. I'm going to start using that instead of the other one, and I'll be giving it to the daycare for Christmas.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

I have two climber/slides indoors. Best thing we ever did! If it's either too hot or too wet and cold to be outside, the kids can still stretch their legs a bit.

Oh! You are lucky! The the wood ones are crazy expensive but soooo much nicer looking.

I have a Little Tikes cube climber inside (the smaller version)

Since we have all had lessons on posting images..LOL!! and I've seen a few really neat pictures of other people coat hooks and entryways, I thought it would be cool (and I'm curious) if we shared some photos of our spaces....It is cool to see new ideas and share :D

The link I told Catherder about is for one of these: http://www.domeclimber.com/

I was just thinking about this the other day and wondered if you had gotten one yet Cat? Was curious to see if it worked out for you and the weird regs. they put on you.

I just acquired the castle slide, LOVE IT! It is small and gets tons of use.

I also have the Step 2 sandbox with the picnic bench attached and I filled the pit with balls instead (pic attached below). It is the best investment I've made so far.

edited to add: the castle slide fits perfectly to the side of the ball pit and they have a blast sliding down into it.

I love your spaces! I wish I knew someone who could paint murals on my toddler room and play room walls. Instead, I'm looking at wallies.com for sales on their big murals.

wonderful! I love the sandbox ball pit. I'd often thought of using a baby pool the same way.

The PVC thing looks really nifty too.

                        Thank you!

I called the high school and talked to the high school art teacher. He "loaned" me a student who was willing to paint my murals. The student took photos and used his work for credit in the class. I paid for all supplies. I offered to pay the student first but the teacher said the student could have the money or the grade but not both. The student opted for the grade.

My kiddos all love it, although I am NOT a fan of any characters, Winnie the Pooh was the only one I could tolerate

After it was painted, my DH bought a clear sealer and painted it over the top so it is washable and durable. The photos in that thread were taken in I think Dec of 2010. The mural was painted in 1999 so it is definitely durable.

I just ordered this bouncer: http://www.amazon.com/Intex-Inflatab...854705&sr=8-11

I also got a little tykes climber but it was a freebie (from freecycle of course) an needs to be cleaned. I'm concerned about the amount of space it's going to take up.

I just bought this Little Tikes 8 in 1 Adjustable Climber.

Little Tikes manufactures kid’s toys, playhouses, ride on cars and so much more!

It was posted on Craigslist for $35 and I called right away to go get it! Once i got their the lady told me she took 7 calls while i was driving to her house to get it! LOL....steal of a deal. I had NO outside toys and was just looking for a basic slide, ha ha.

I'm still looking for a basic slide for inside. Our winter weather is approaching, but the climber is simply too big to be inside.
