    Saturday Night Date Nights

A friend of mine who does childcare wanted to start date nights on Saturday from like 6:00Pm to 9:00pm. She was thinking of charging $20.00 for this. Do you think to high, to low, just right? There would be arts, crafts, games, etc. to keep the kids busy.

    What would you guys charge?

I use to do Friday nights. I had a few parents take me up on it. Enrollment always declines in the winter months so we stopped doing it.

When I did it, I did it from 6pm - 10pm. Dinner to be fed prior, snack provided. I would put pj's on and I charged $20 a night per child.

      For a Friday I'd charge about $30.

For a Saturday night I'd charge about $3,000,000.00.

Yep, that looks about right, to me. ::::

I used to offer a whole weekend for $150, once a year, though. School clothing fund .

I offer parent night outs every couple months. I do 6pm-12am. I do either a friday or saturday, whichever night I have nothing going on. I charge $25 per child and give them a snack usually. Most go to bed early so not a lot of work. I have a few parents take me up on it. Babysitters around here are charging $7-$8 per hour for one child so my parents seem to think its a reasonable price.

          Too funny.

I do this too also from 6pm to 10pm. Sometimes to 11:00 pm. I charge $5 an hour. The only thing that I do different is that a warm dinner can be packed up and brought here. I heat their food up and serve it to them so they all eat at the same time. It's dinner and a movie for us too.

Easy peezy money if you ask me, even if I only have one taker. After dinner I clean them up and dress them in their jammies and we lay blankets and pillows down on the floor. Most of the time the kids are asleep before the movie is even over.

I think it's funny that wdmmom had date nights slow in the winter. It's my busiest time. Sometimes I would do it both Friday and Saturday night's (earlier time on Saturday, 5-9pm) and the parents would use this time to go holiday shopping. I do my shopping online (I hate shopping during the holiday season) so it was great getting paid for watching my nephews, neighbors kids and clients kids while they went out and shopped. Then I'd sit back and do my shopping on Amazon while the kids watched their movies ::.
