Is it just me or are these cases happening more? Are they maybe just getting more press?

Are you kidding me? Leaving your kid in the car and going into the store? Walking to the gas station? Who does that? What is wrong with people?! My child is never out of my sight.

Not once but twice did this lady leave her child in the car unattended. When to parents learn? Her and her ex husband already served community hrs and parenting classes for the first violation...This lady is dumb. I don't care if the child was sleeping. Wake them up and take them with you for God sack!!

Hopefully all the mother did was leave the child in the car. Since, she admited to leavinf the child in the car she should be brought up on child indangerment charges.

I hope they find this child soon I wonder if there is a chance that dad has him.

The part that sticks with me is that she claimed she was taking HIM to the Hospital sick, but he was the one she chose to leave behind.

I know it's just a coincidence but I have an interview today with a family that just moved here from Washington, and the boy is the same age...hmmm

I can't stand people that leave their kids in the car!
One time we were at a Circle K and this lady left her newborn and a couple toddlers in the car with the car running and doors unlocked...
My dh when in there and chewed her out, she yelled back at him.

That's the part that bothered me too. And what parent with 2 toddlers goes anywhere without a stroller in the back of the car? Easy to transport a sleeping child.

I don't get these parents that think that a car and carseat = babysitting.

Around here people get harsher charges if they leave their dog in the car!

I remember when I was a teenager my friend went into a dollar store and I sat in the parked car, I was just looking around and saw a car with young children. The older boy kicked the car into gear and it started rolling, luckily the window was down so I ran to it and stopped it. I was so scared and so mad. People are stupid.

I know this is a horrible thought but what if the boy was deceased already when she put him in the car and just arranged for something to happen to him?

Now they are saying that her story closely resembles a TV show that she watched recently? Law and Order?

Also her car was NOT even out of gas.

I am still trying to find the story in print. It was just on our local radio news...

I'm very cynical... I tend to assume that in most of these cases, the parent has accidentally killed the child, and is using "kidnapping" as the cover up.
