They usually go by part time-29 hrs or less a week and full time 30 hours or more a week. Then they pay time and a half for weekends, holidays, and before 6 am and after 6 p.m.
Now Calif. has a pay ceiling.
I usually get paid about $180 a week for a baby full time and $ 120 a week part time for school age. Just don't let them try to pay you the $6 per hour rate, it's never enough.. tell them you only accept part time and full time rates.

also, make sure on your ppr's or attendence sheets that you write open or closed on all your major holidays AND when you send them your contract, indicate that you are paid for those and for your 10 days of vacation a year that they will pay.- Flag
