I would say that I spend about $150 a week on daycare (10 children during the day) and my family (5 of us). Then we spend about $350 a month at Sam's Club. This includes food and supplies (wipes, formula, bleach, etc).

For a long while we were "poor", according to the american standard of lliving, so we had a very tight budget. I've had a $100/week grocery budget for as long as I can remember. That was when we had 6 kids living at home, and now it's 3 at home and 5-6 daycare kids for lunch and 2 snacks everyday, and 2-3 for breakfast. If it's not on sale, I don't buy it! I had (need to make a new one now that grocery prices have changed to much) a notebook to compare everyday prices at Sam's club, Aldi's and another grocery chain--and so I knew where the cheapest things were.
I try not to waste food at all--lots of leftovers for the family and the daycare kids, food tastes better the second time around!
I do most shoppping at Aldi's, if you have one by you check it out--big money saver, and the quality is good.

I spend on average about $125 per week at Wal-Mart for 12 kids age 1-5, and three adult teachers. This includes breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks per day, although usually the teachers only eat lunch, and possibly breakfast. My daycare is not in my home, but in the house my great-grandparents lived in before they passed away, so all of the food we get is dedicated to daycare. We also go to Sam's once every two months and spend about $200-300 there. I take a trip to Dollar Tree very often just for things like our Treasure Box and anything else that the kids might "need" to play with.- Flag

I average anywhere from $100-$150 a week but that is for daycare and my husband and I. I prepare all meals myself and buy a lot of fresh foods and really search the grocery ad's before going. I started checking out just more than my local grocery and found out that most of them differ big time with prices/sales and what not.- Flag

I average $150/wk for my family AND the daycare. I buy in bulk when there are good sales, and I bake my own whenever possible. I don't buy bread, I bake it, most goodies are homemade... etc.- Flag
