    Got My First Call!

And it seems like a dud. Three year old boy who got kicked out of his last daycare for being "too wild" as his dad put it. Has a severe peanut allergy (not feeling too great about having to deal with that) and his dad was bummed that I wasn't open on Friday because he is a d.j. and has a gigs every thursday and is really hung over on friday and likes to have his son in daycare.

Even with all those, I'm feeling like, maybe, just maybe it could work out??? I think I'm feeling too desperate.

    Oh WOW!!!

    RED FLAGS EVERYWHERE!!!!

Trust me... from newbie to newbie:: .... just hold out until you find a great family......they will call.... Trust me!!!

The second family I interviewed....Mom called, 10 year old boy, needed summer care, sounded great, set up an interview.
When mom and boy came ...OMG... boy was a wreck, dirty clothes, 100 degrees outside wearing a snow jacket ...

I immediatedly knew something was wrong....she then tells me boy is emotionally disturbed and extremely violent and also bipolar

What the...... Ummm no thanks pass!!!!

Soon after I filled 3 spots with great families!!

Oh wow. Yikes. I will hold out for a better family, as hard as it is. I think I will go ahead with the interview just so I can get some practice.

        Run away. Don't do it!

My first weird interview, the couple came with two special needs boys and wanted me (no joke) to put them in my son's room, LOCK THE DOOR, and just leave them in there until pick up time. They were serious. Umm...no thanks.

Parents usually downplay bad behavior, so if Dad says "too wild" he probably means "take out extra insurance and wear padded clothing".
