What would you charge for full-time infant care in a home facility?

Pricing for Full Time Child in California Daycare

Anywhere from $390 to $550 a month. Here is a good article on the subject: http://www.futureofchildren.org/usr_doc/vol6no2ART4.pdf

I wouldn't take less than $155 a week if they provide the formula/diapers. Otherwise I charge an extra $2 a day if they want me to supply them. Infants are very demanding and until they can hold the bottle themselves and sit up and play, they will take up a lot of time in a day. If you plan to have toddlers/preschoolers too, I would only take 1 infant in order to give them enough attention.

            here in massachusetts

The going rate for infant care (in home based daycare) is $50.00+ a day. Of course it depends on the area you live in. So basically it's $300 a week and that's cheap compared to the large daycare centers who charge more!

                ny rate

I charge $300 for a 50 hour week for children 2 months - 4 years old. This is cheap being most places are charging $9 and hour. I guess it depends wher you live. Ny is expensive.

Sometimes your local/state supplemental agency has a rate sheet. I'd try asking them first. Or call around to other local providers and ask.

In our area its anywhere from $28 - $35 per day to some places charging hourly $6 making it upwards of $45 per day.

Our local supplement pays $35 per day

                    how much to charge

Hi, i charge my parents by the hour.I have a minimum charge of 7 hours per day, its up to them if they want to use those 7 hours.(most use more per day)
I charge $5.50 per hour per child, so im am assured of a decent daily wage by the time i have 4 kids in all day.

Wow, my hourly rate doesn't even come to $1.75. How sad. Our dc rates are terribly low, our economy here is terrible too!

Around Plano, Tx rates run from $150 - 180 per week.
Some centers are charging as much as $250 per week.
I have seen rates as low as $80 per week in certain areas around Dallas where the economy is depressed.

                            daycare costs

I live in California and I charge $200.00/wk. When they turn one1 I go down to $175.00/wk. Infants are the most delicate and who you will spend the most time with. Especially if they are under 5 months. Between birth and age one is the motor skill age of rolling, crawling and walking. If they do not get this attention they fall behind on the mildstones.
