Do you have a weekly menu? We have to post 2 weeks worth of menus in advance. If you have menus posted, she can look it over and get an idea of just how healthy you feed them on a normal basis and may not be that bothered about the occasional sweet. Or she can bring a substitute from home. Only one of my families look at my menus. And I've mentioned (jokingly) that this is what we are having, we are not a restaurant. The kids eat it or don't. Cést la vie!

Mom brought her list of non approved foods, and it was no big deal. All she had listed was whole nuts, chocolate and candy. I dont serve nuts anyway, and chocolate is once or twice a month in donuts or muffins, so easy to change. And the candy is a holiday treat sometimes, but rare, so not a big deal.

So not as bad as I thought it would be.

        Glad to hear it.
