When Do You Move Child To Cot?

Here in WI, we are required to have children under one in playpen or crib. Then after one they can be on cot. What ages do you put on cot?

I have all my just turn one year old on a cot, and they are doing fabulous! I think they like that they can now have blanket to cuddle with and are no confined to the playpen. I was just setting up 8 cots, thinking about how great it was not to have to put playpens up and down all day!

My playpens are deep, wide, and long.

I also have pretty large play pens and move my kids anywhere from 18-2.5 years depending on the child.

13 mo? I have one I'm starting to transition. She was 1 on Oct 4. I have another turning on nov 23. Then another on the 9 of Feb. Then. NO MORE BABIES 3 at a time. Lol. I do it every 4-5 years. It's not easy. Lol my last " triplets" are in 2nd grade now. They were may 4,6&14. Lol. I got them all at 6 weeks. At least this group is spaced out. Lol

Anywhere from 18 months to 2.5 years ~ depending on when I need the pnp's for the next round of infants.

Any time after 12 months. Depends on their ability, but most my kids are comfortable and easily down on cots/mats by age 18 months.

Around 18 months IMO. I have an 18 month old starting soon and she was in a pnp at her old daycare so I'll start her out in one and then transition soon.

I transition based on ability and what kind of nappers they are. Kids who sleep a long time stay in playpens as long as possible. Short nappers sleep on mats.
