Im wanting to increase rates for the coming year. I dont know how to word it. Could someone post an example of what to say.

I recently had a 5% increase across the board.
I wrote a short letter that basically said...for as long as I have been in operation, I have not raised rates. Unfortunately with this ever changing economy, I find it necessary to raise rates to maintain the same experience your child/ren continue to enjoy here at daycare.
Most of the parents received a $1.00 per day price increase. I found that breaking it down and saying $1.00 per day is a lot better than saying $20 a month. They like small numbers.
Explain what the price increase is for also. Changing economy, increases in utilities, water, groceries, etc.
