dr will be in trouble too, didn't he realize what he was prescribing too, I wonder if she was bringing him to a family dr or clinics where they don't have all his info.

Yeah...that's what I thought. If she thought I lacked common sense and she didn't like my kid, WHY would she leave her child with me?

I mentioned that she always seemed paranoid. Monday morning the kids were all sitting in front of the couch watching cartoons after they finished breakfast. She walks in, doesn't even acknowledge me, and says "Oh, everyone's on the naughty mat. Is everyone in trouble? They must be in trouble. Kids? Are you all in trouble?" I was shocked that she said that. I felt myself make a weird face and said, "no, they are just watching tv."

If a child wasn't here on any given day, she would have to ask where they were. Yesterday at pick up, before even saying hi, she's like "oh, where's Kevin? I never see Kevin. I miss Kevin. Where is he?" I said he left early. She continued to act paranoid and scared for him. What does she think I'm doing with these kids?!

She always wanted to know last names and where the parents worked, too. Of course I didn't give that information out, but she tried pretty hard to fish it outta me.

The thing that's weird is, she takes him to one of the best, well-known drs in town. He is the only dr I will take my family to. I checked both prescriptions adn they were both from him and sent to the same pharmacy. I may be rethinking where I take my family.

Kinda off subject, but last night I heard a bit from the Michael Jackson trial. Lidocaine was one of the painkillers he was on. That was one of the prescriptions in this little boys bag....for mouth sores. I've never seen him with a "mouth sore." It was from 2 weeks ago.

Topical Lidocaine is different from the injected type.

I'm pretty sure that is what's in the medicated aloe vera I use on sunburns in the summer. Pretty mild topical numbing agent I think.

              Oh.

She is now texting me demanding that I give back the Dr's allergy note and the copy of the shot records that she gave me. I had to send in the Allergy note to FP and she should have original copy of shot records. She wants me to scan it for her because she doesn't have a copy. Who doesn't have a shot record of their own child?!

I would stop the back and forth if you can.

Stop corresponding to her at all. END the relationship and stop feeding into her excessive need for attention. You are require by law to keep those types of documents even after the child no longer attends care. If she wants a copy she can go to her clinic and request one. No way would I be copying or scanning anything for an ex-client.

If necessary tell her to stop contacting you and that ALL her texts are being forwarded to CPS.

I told her I'm sure the Dr's office would be happy to give her another copy and left it at that.

I called my licensing lady again to let her know how it went. I told her about my "unruly child." She said that even if she complains about my 20 month old throwing a toy, that's just what happens in daycare. She said that this mother sounds very unstable and that she's glad I've been updating her. She didn't say anything about a visit from them, but said CPS may visit to ask further questions.

I also called CPS again to let them know that I will be out of state next week on vacation. I asked if there is any further information they need from me. The lady said not right now, but made a note on what day I will be back. I told her they can always call.

Sounds like you handled it professionally. Good job! It also sounds as though you have earned that vacation you have coming up. Enjoy!!

Thanks! I'm sooo ready for this vacation. This week I have lost a lot of sleep thinking about all the "what ifs" and what will happen to the little boy. I'm ready to just get away and be done.

                        I hope this is over.

I just finally read all the responses and although you didn't handle it as I would have, they aren't returning and I think everyone here was hoping for that result.

Now hopefully CPS will do their job and find out if this child is truly in danger!

                          Enjoy your vacation!
