This morning I've had some bouts of dizziness. I'm well hydrated, have eaten, and do not have blood pressure problems. My midwife said it could be the position of the baby or a pinched nerve in my neck. I have 7 kids here, and it makes me a little nervous when I have to lay down with my feet up because I get so dizzy.

Sorry if this sounds rude, but how do you lie down with 7 kids in the house?
I would say if you are concerned that your ability to care for the children is at risk you should call in an assistant or close.
What are you going to do if you do pass out?- Flag

The kids were watching a video since they had just finished breakfast, and I laid down for a minute with my feet up. My mother is coming over to help me today and I'm going to take a trip to the chiropractor (DH will drive me.)- Flag

I was going to suggest chiropractor--if your atlas (top vertebrae) is out of place, that can cause a lot of dizziness. Feel better!Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!- Flag

I have never taken a sick day and have had two pregnancies while running my daycare. You do what you have to do and unless you are seriously ill, you just get up and get things done. I know its hard, I had two challenging pregnancies but there is just no option to slow down or put your feet up most days. I tried to rest as much as possible during the evening.- Flag

I closed yesterday for a court hearing. My DH adopted my DS. I kind of felt a little guilty closing, but I don't charge if the kids aren't here. This has been a battle for over 2 years, and now it is finally over.
As far as issues with a pregnancy, I do believe that you have to take care of yourself in order to be able to take care of others. You need to do what is right for you.Give a little love to a child, and you get a great deal back.- Flag
