    Avent Bottle Warmer

Does anyone else have an avent bottle warmer? Does it drive you as crazy as it does me?!?!?!?

A daycare mother brough me one to use with her childs bottles. She preferes them made all at once in the morning and kept cold. When it is time for the child to eat I warm a bottle (basicly just back to room temp...)

I fill the warmer with water (it takes very little.) place the bottel to warm and walk away. Some times the water level is the same when I come back just a few minuts later and sometimes it is nearly gone! other times I take the bottle out to check the temp....put it back in just to have water overlow back out of it (when it was jsut seconds ago the correct level with the bottle in the warmer.)

There is also no good way to get the water back out of the warmer. The water is scalding hot (even on a medium setting) so you burn yourself. The insert does not hold water so you have to bring the entire warmer to the sink to dump.....

drives me nuts, and yes if it was my child there would be no bottle warming, but as a family daycare making a feeding bottles just the way the parents do at home is one of the services I offer. So it is not really thewarming I am venting about....just the flawed design of the warmer its self.

I had one years ago and hated it. Would think it would have improved by now but sounds like the same issues. I had the big First Years one too - that had issues too, finally I went to the old fashioned hot water on the stove. Now I have a keurig coffee maker so use the hot water from that, LOL!
