I'm Glad They Like My House But...

dcb came early today because apparently he didn't want to be home, and all he does is scream to come to my house. I'm glad he likes it here but isn't that odd. He's also 3, and usually comes everyday at 1pm but today it was 9am. Acually, when I got the call, it went like this, "can boy come over, I can't handle him and he wants to come to your house".

:::: It looks like he wants to come to your house because he may be boring at home, who knows.

he wants to come to your house because mom wants him to. I'd be prepared for a lot more early drop offs.....

Are they paying for a full day?

My response would be "Well, of course he can come over, if you want to change him over to full-time that's no problem either. It'll be a change of $__ every week. When would you like to have him go to full time?" ::

they do pay for a full day, but sometimes i do feel like a second parent. I was telling dh that this kid is one of the best cleaners I have, he's fast, knows where everything is and is good. I think it has to do with the fact that its routine here, and I kid you not, it makes a big thing in a childs life.

Tell DCM that you work on contracted hours and don't allow drop ins. If she's paying for 1pm - 6pm care, she gets 1pm - 6pm care. If she pays for 9am - 5pm care, she gets 9am - 5pm care. I wouldn't let her come sooner than she's paying for and I would tell her that the schedule needs to be consistent.

I have the same situation. I have 2 dcks that are scheduled for 11:00 and they have been showing up at anywhere between 10 and 11. I charge them for each 15 minute interval that they are here early. It's $5:00 for each 15 minutes for each dck that they are early. I offered them an early start time that they could pay for everyday but they didn't want to do that. So on top of their regular fee this week, for the 1/2 hour they came early both days I made an extra $20.
