    Oh why this month...

of all months that I had 2 of my 4 families decide not to pay me on time. Bad enough I have to figure out how to pay almost 10,000 on medical bill because of issues over the last 2 months... but damn. I have already had to fix a water leak (doubled my water bill for 2 months now), had lot rent and property tax increase & now I have no way to pay anything unless I go to social services. Thank goodness I know I can live on rice & Beans, but why now... I already won't get to see family for the holidays because I can't afford it, but this makes it worse. I'm suppose to have my Holiday open house next weekend & without funds to buy food that isn't happening now

All local shelters/wildlife rehabs are at or over capacity. Animal control said to let nature take it's course. She has passed the 24 hour mark, now, so fingers crossed. They are resilient little things. I may try offering some applesauce and baked chicken this afternoon if she is still in her hide (I moved her to an outdoor shelter that she can leave when she feels ready.)
Are you and my dd related?! ::

She has taken the dang skunk under her wing and now feeds it. (it won't walk on one front paw)

I would be much happier about an opossum in her bedroom than the skunk under the shed. I hope she makes it!!!

Apparently everyone decided that their children's breakfast would be pixie stix and mountain dew. Jeez these kids all hit the door wound for total sound this morning.

You know, as soon as word gets out that you're rescuing all these animals, you'll be finding all kinds of critters on your doorstep.

Someone hit her in my driveway and left her even though it was obvious she was still alive. :dislike: She came to me as soon as she saw me. She is one of the "locals" who visit my apple and plum trees often so is not afraid of me.
That ****s. Possums get a bad rap because they're ugly as all get out but are actually pretty cool. Good luck with her.

My hours are 7-5. Long enough day. Dcd texts me at 5:05 and says it'll be another 15 minutes. Then he texts me at 5:20 saying he was still waiting for his ride and hopefully he'd be here by 5:30. 5:31 he comes in, never apologizes or anything.
I had sent home newsletters today and mentioned my intent to close at 5 like I'm supposed to, and my late pick-up fees are doubling as of next Monday. He better read his.

I have been battling a sinus infection since Thanksgiving, for some reason its only affecting my throat. I lost my voice last night. It feels like I swallowed at pine cone. Tea, honey, cough drops - not working.

My bosses pretended they would let me leave if I came in. I've been here for close to 8 hours now.

Most four-year-olds feel that if they can't hear you, then you're not really talking. Including my own. So after dealing with her laughing at my paper-thin voice and then running off to not do whatever it is I asked, I've been straining my voice at her friends all day.

    Guess who's really cranky :dislike:

Oh dear... I never schedule a tour on a Monday just because everyone is trying to get back in the swing of things; after dealing with Monday Madness the only thing I want to do at days end is have a glass of wine
