I once asked for an exception for two days based on the child age and he refused. Because you know that two days makes a world of difference. (I was asking for a baby over 12 months to start before an almost 18 month to turn 18 months in a day or two)
I wasn't able to sign that family because of it.- Flag

e.j. unfortunately he is a nit picker.. Last year he made up a due date on training because he didn't know the due date and cited me for it. I appealed because I didn't agree and he was made to remove the citation "out of kindness" the next day, (literally the next day) I received an email from the state, stating everyone had two more months to complete the training.
I never bothering emailing him because he never responds to my questions.- Flag

Alabama daycare providers, I just saw on the news where the Alabama Department of Human resources is stopping grants 9/30/23.- Flag

I'd also consider him 18 mo old on the morning of 9/15. Your licensor would have to be pretty nit-picky to give you a hard time over his age at that point.
Having to give up Fridays - and now Thursdays - is tough. I gave up my Fridays off several years ago for three families who needed care for their kids on that day. All three were some of my favorite families so I agreed to do it for them knowing it was just a temporary change until the kids aged out but I won't do it again. I'm sorry you're faced with that decision now.- Flag

Her message today is that she works Thursday - Saturday but is looking for a second pt job. This is a new job and she was hoping for a FT position but got PT.- Flag

Guest repliedAlwaysgreener does mom not work Monday Friday or is she working from home and can work whenever? The reason I'm asking is because from what i read from your comments it sounds like she works a weird shift or a weird schedule.

No response from either of them after I replied.
I redid the math and I think I am good but my licensor is a pain and is due any day so I am nervous about chanceing it.
DCB's dob is 3/15/22 and the ratio moves him up when he is 18 months. So when does he turn 18 months?
I first thought it was the end of day on the 9/15 but when I look at the food program change an infant to non infant the morning of bday.
So I should treat him as 18 months on the morning of 9/15 and then I would be within ratio with him here and her two infants (13 and 4 months)
Since they only want 2 days, I can still sell the other 3 days. (If the one replies they only needed m-w)
FYI, I had to give up my Fridays for DCB, or at least every other. But since I was losing DCG to free preschool I was going to have Thursday free. But this family takes Thurs and Fri, So I am not winning. Ugh.- Flag

Do the other two people who contacted you seem as though they might work out? If so, maybe you could tell this woman that it doesn't sound as though you're a good match based on the schedule she needs? If you feel as though you can't say no because you need to fill the spot and don't want to risk losing her in case it doesn't work out with the other two, I'd explain that you realized her younger kid(s) wouldn't be able to start right away because of the age issue and see if she can wait.- Flag
