Dcm that has major issues understanding that she needs to pick up her child and go home every day instead of finding new excuses to stick around my home has left me speechless today. She walked in and asked "may I use your bathroom to poop?". Then after she went in to use the restroom she attempted to try to talk to me as she was on the toilet. I don't even have any words. I pretended not to hear her and she made a few more attempts at conversation and then gave up.

Dear dcm, thank you for putting your children to sleep at 6:30 every night. I really enjoy having no break because your baby won't nap. Your toddler loves laying around for quiet time for 2 hours because she can't sleep due to you closing to put her to bed so you can have some me time. Thank you for choosing to put your baby to sleep in a swing at home because I love listening to her scream as I attempt to get her to lay in a crib or play on the floor. Unlike you, I think it is her right to be able to breath properly and avoid death when sleeping. Oh but I know you need that precious me time and sleep training would only conflict with that time to yourself. Thank you for telling me that your child has a special request for breakfast each morning because I really do enjoy the fight I have with picky eaters.

It's Friday. It's payment day for the week ahead... and I don't have a check from a certain dcf. My bets are that it is in school aged dcg's backpack. Because dcm and dcd can't be bothered to actually hand over the check to me themselves. They always give it to the dcg. Almost always she has it in her hands when she comes in. Sometimes she has it in her backback and dcm will say, "don't forget to give her the check." but there was no reminder given today and I really don't want to ask a 6 year old for my payment :/

I completely agree.. if parents are depending on a 6 year old to make sure their payment is on time, they more than deserve a late fee if dcg forgets.

Here in Iowa it's our first cold day of the fall season. It's 45 degrees out and super windy. Kids are wearing winter coats, hats and gloves. Of course dcg whose parents are never prepared have dcg heading off to school wearing capris, a too small winter coat with the sleeves barely covering her forearms, a hat so small it doesn't cover her ears and no gloves. I would let her use some of my extras except she's only a before school and therefore I would never get them back. I know because with this family I've tried to be helpful with hats, gloves and socks because yes they even forget to have 7 yr old dcg wear socks that I've never seen again. Like I was told Not my monkey, not my circus. I just hope the teacher does something.

                  i'd be embarresed

To send my kid to daycare in the same outfit Monday Wednesday and Friday. I'm sorry but buy your kid some clothes and socks. This family can afford to buy him clothes they just don't. Sad

How old is this child? The reason I am asking is that my 11 year old loves 2 shirts in particular and I wash clothes every day....So he generally rotates and I just don't pick that battle...They are sports shirts and he loves them...:His teachers probably talk about me..::::

My ds7 has a closet that is overflowing with nothing but shirts. He could probably go 2-3 months without rewearing a shirt... but does he do that? Nope! This child prefers 5-6 of the same shirts over and over. He has his own sense of fashion so I just let it be.

ETA: I also have a dcb3 who will only wear certain pants/shorts. He doesn't like the way his other pants feel. No biggie... as long as they're clean, I don't mind.

Yea, I used to hate when this happens. Even an errant wrong number call at 3am is is possible. Is why my phone is shut off at night. (or at least the ringer volume). I don't turn it back on until after my alarm goes off, I'm out of bed and my coffee is poured. It's always at least an hour before I open, so I have time to return any calls or texts that are waiting for me. If it's Saturday morning, it might not even get turned back on til sometime Sunday afternoon.

Technology is great, but I personally don't want or need to be available 24/7.
