Right now I am making $1880 a month with 3 part time and 1 S/A after school. Unfortunately they will all be in school full time next year so I am going to have to figure out a new plan.
How Much Money Do You Make?

Before or after expenses? I only really make 40% of what I bring in, and then I pay an assistant about half of that. So not much. Probably around $1000 per month! About $3600 before expenses. That is with 8 full timers and 2 part timers. I have to claim my youngest still and are holding a spot for a newborn starting the beginning of the year.- Flag

About $6000 that is 8 spots filled daily ( from fulltimers, part timers, drop ins..its rare I will have a spot open after all 15 families have taken the days they need for drop ins/part timers.) That is also with the foodprogram.- Flag

$200-pre-school curriculum.
I've never really added it up but I still have to buy wipes, paper towels, etc each month. Plus utilities each month.
I usually buy all my toys, books, items that need to be replaced with the money from my re-enrollment fee each year $100/per family.
Plus my daycare parents are SUPER generous about donating items like wipes, paper towels, kleenex, hand soap, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, snacks and any used toys their kids outgrow. I really am lucky to have such great daycare families
I just had a little girl this summer potty train and she came walking in carrying a 24 double roll of toilet paper. She said"Mama says this is to wipe my tushy, here you go" I still laugh whenever she goes potty.LOL- Flag

I gross about $8000/mo. I have 5 full time kids, 7 part time and 4 school agers. I have a part time assistant, 3 days a week. I've never really figured out what I net; I figure if the bills/taxes are paid and the retirement is funded, I am doing ok- Flag

Where are you in CA? I'm in Santa Clara County and my rates are definitely not even the highest in my area. I lowered mine recently$10/day for infants and preschoolers. I do charge top $ for S/A, because I have to transport to and from school...no buses in my area for these kids.- Flag

like our rates, this can vary so much, some of us are licensed for 3-5 kids, others licensed for 8-15 kids.
I can make anywhere from $0-$3500 a month, depending on spots filled. Would be much more if I ever filled every spot at my highest part time rate, but that would never really happen, I love my full timers!- Flag

3 full timers (one is a 5 day a week, two are 4 day a week) and uh... hmm.. 1,000 a month maybe? I'm not entirely sure as September will be the first month I've watched the 2 full time, before they were part time... so then, add another 300 for the food program... roughly 1300 monthly. We're still low income at this point, which is why we get so much from the food program... they also include my son in the reimbursement too.- Flag

I just have to say, that even thou I'm having a dry spell, I still would not be able to get a good paying job here that would pay the amount I make, and not have to work holidays and weekends (the weekend thing is a big deal)- Flag

We make $4,000 (about $4,500 with food program I think) a month before expenses with 5 full timers, 5 part timers, and 5 before & after schoolers. But my mom and I own the daycare so we split the money, plus have a PT assistant.- Flag
