    Reopening??

Has anyone ever reopened their daycare? Was it easy to do? I would be starting from ground zero. I sold almost everything minus my IKEA storage. I am highly considering it. I had closed my in home center in August of 2022 to use my degree and I was feeling fatigued and lonely all day. I have found a decent job that is flexible and zero stress. But in this economy I donโ€™t know that we can sustain ourselves without the income I use to have.

Why not reopen? You already have the know how and skills. Here are some threads that relate to those operators, that have closed for various reasons, that reopened again.

Daycare Center and Family Home owners, Directors, Operators and Assistants should post and ask questions here.

I know a provider who moved 3 times and took time off in between, she did great and always stayed full.

Not sure where you are located but I think daycares are needed everywhere.....I think it's a perfect time to open back up! Good Luck!

I was going to say something similar. Around here, the calls have slowed down somewhat but some parents are still scrambling to find care, especially for infants. Depending on where you are, you could have an easy time getting to full enrollment if that's what your main concern is.
