Very cool snack! Look (and smell!!) like french fries, but made from spinach, tomato, potato. Baked, not fried. Organic. No gluten or soy. Downside is they are pricey. But the kids really, REALLY loved them! Poof, gone, tore 'em up.
coscto is now selling them in small snack size bags. I buy them for my own kids because they are way more healthier than chips and my kids love them. Now daycare kids are iffy about them (obviously you can tell who eats healthier) I bought 2 large bags last week at miejers because they were on sale.
I looked at a veggie fry product and the nutritional contect was a big, fat ZERO. I'm wondering if you guys have found a different product?
Probably the same thing...
I always serve mine with fresh fruit, so there ya go for nutrition. They are a once a week treat around here. The kids get SO excited when I pull that bag out!

Am I understanding this correctly, that a chip, while higher in calories and fat has more vitamin c and less sodium than a veggie straw?
I guess neither seem very healthy to me. LOL. At first I thought it was something home-made then everyone mentioned the stores they buy them at, ha ha.
I base nutrition on more things than sodium content and vitamin C content.
I buy our veggie straws in the huge bag from costco and they're not expensive at all. We love them here. Nothing unhealthy about them, really. But, I'm not all that picky. They're a hell of a lot better than artificial color- and flavor-filled junk food.
