CDA Exam

I was wondering if anyone has a group home daycare (meaning you can care for up to 16 children in your childcare/daycare) . I applied for a group home license completed 120 credit hours ,completed my home visit from the PDA Specialist now I am being told that I have to go into a pearson vue location and take a CDA EXAM PER THE CDA COUNCIL. My question is have anyone taken this exam I heard it has 60 multiple choice questions. Do anyone have any idea what is on this exam so I can study for?

@blackcat31 I did go to the site to order the application and the essentials booklet for guidance. I understand you said it is basic are you saying the question are basic or they just have basic info?My question was: Have anyone taken the test and what kind of questions they ask on the test?:confused:

It has been several years since I took the test and I know they recently changed some things. Study your essentials book. some of the questions I remember they stated more than once just in a different way. I did not find it hard. The oral exam had one question that I know I missed something she kept waiting and saying do you want to add something. Never did find out what that was... the question was if you take a group of children outdoors and a child needs to go to the bathroom. What do you do. I said take everyone back in so the child can go. And next time make sure they go when sent before we go outdoors. I read very fast I guess so she was surprised how fast I finished the test I guess It was supposed to take an hour to take.

@itlw8 thank you so much for that I was wondering if this test would be hard but I guest it's a basic command sense test.
