    homemade applesauce

Had fun making this today with the kids & they loved it!

6 cups peeled, chopped apples(6-7 small apples)I used Mcintosh
    3/4 c water
1/2 c sugar(could probably get away with a bit less depending on type of apples used)
    1/8 tsp cinnamon
    1/8 tsp ground cloves

mix all ingrediants except sugar in 2 qt. saucepan.
Bring to boil, turn down to simmer for 10 min.
Add sugar, simmer 5 min. more

I actually screwed up & added all ingrediants at once & it was fine so you could do it that way also. I also kept simmered for 5 extra minutes too.

    yum

I usually find the $.99 bags of ripe bananas & buy those. They are not even overly ripe most times, just not green! It saves a lot of money. Every time ds sees one all I hear is "nana" until he gets one!
