    Taco Seasoning

So I forgot to buy the packets of taco seasoning recently and searched online for an alternative. I came across a recipe for the seasoning and we can't believe we used to buy packets! We love it! It's easy, tasty, and we typically quadruple the recipe and keep it jarred so we have it on hand. Just thought I'd share...

    1 tablespoon chili powder
    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (I use 1/8 teas cayenne pepper instead)
    1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
    1/2 teaspoon paprika
    1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
    1 teaspoon sea salt
    1 teaspoon black pepper

2-3 tablespoons to 1 pound of meat + 2/3 water

Ooo! Thanks! I usually just put in a bit of this and that but I like the idea of making it up in advance.

That looks like the same recipe I use. My kiddos (both mine and dcks) like it much better than the store bought stuff. I have had 2 moms ask for my 'taco recipe' because their tacos don't taste as good as mine.
Give a little love to a child, and you get a great deal back.
