What is a Typical Meal At Your Center?

    Hey guys,
Had an idea pop into my head and it got me wondering, What is a typical meal that you serve at your center such as breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, morning snack (if you do one) that you do on your state's food program (If you do the food program)?

I participate in a food program and tend to organize my meals around their requirements, which are to offer a variety of foods across all food groups for every meal and to have reasonably diverse options for snacks. An example breakfast would be like,
    • Grain: whole wheat waffles with syrup and butter
    • Fruit: fresh blueberries or bananas
    • Veg: sweet potato hash browns
    • Protein: turkey sausage, scrambled eggs
The app I use for billing and communication also has a built in menu-builder for main courses and snacks, and fluids. I love making menus and cooking so it's a lot of fun to build them out and I tend to go above and beyond with food at my home (I don't have an official childcare credential so I try to make up for that where I can ).

Some tricks I use to incorporate more vegetables are to use squash and sweet potato puree in batters, or cut chunks into breakfast muffins, or serve with dips like ranch, ketchup, hummus, or peanut butter.
