Time/Space % Question..When Other People Do Work For You

Yesterday (Sunday) we had some guys come and dismantle and haul away a 3-season room that was on the back of our house. It took them about 8 hours and they did it for free. Since most of the reason that we were getting rid of the porch is daycare related, and we HAD to be home for them to do it, can I count that time in other time/space %?

Honestly if it wasn't for daycare I don't know that I would have bothered getting rid of the thing.

(Also will I be able to deduct the cost of the replacement siding and stuff that we're going to need now that the porch is gone?)

    Time/space %

To count time as part of your time-space % you need to be able to say that the sole reason for spending the time is business related. Since you can't say that about the removal of your 3 season room, you can't count the time. You can deduct the time-space % of the replacement siding and other expenses to fix up your home after this removal.
