    Gazebo/Canopy

Tom, the lawnmower thread made me think. We just put up a simple gazebo that I got at Target for $99. I put it over our patio to provide shade for myself and the babies. (The bigger kiddos will play under the big shade tree most of the time)

I gather I can write it off too?

    gazebo

Yes, you can deduct your gazebo. Since I assume you use it for personal as well as business purposes, use your time-space %. Since it's less than $100, claim it in one year on Schedule C. Call it "Household item" under Other Expenses.

Thanks Tom. That's what I told my DH when I wanted to buy it!
