    Claiming Meals With IRS

Can I claim meals I feed infants even though I don't provide the breast milk/formula/baby food? I'm not on the food program, so I'm not sure how this works. The parents bring the bottles and the food and I feed it to the baby.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

I believe you can only claim if you paid for the food yourself.

If you offer no food or drink to a child for a meal because the parent brought everything, then you can't count this as a business meal. If you offered any part of a meal or snack yourself, then you can count it.

meals...Im on the food program so I get reimbursed for meals.
I have 10-12 kids year round and Im sure I spend more then I get reimbursed.
Do I claim to total spent on meals, then claim the food reimbursements as income?

Food Programs reimbursements are income (exception: reimbursements for your own children are not income). Claim all the food you served to the children as an expense, including meals you were reimbursed for. Use either the standard meal allowance method or save receipts and claim your actual food costs.
