    Anti-Freeze, Oil Is It Deductable?

I know this was asked once, but now I cant find it...

If I claim the standard mileage rate, does that mean I CANNOT deduct the cost of buying:

    Anti-freeze
    Windshield washer fluid
    Oil
    New blades

    ??????????????

    Car expenses

Here are the only expenses you can claim on your car if you use the standard mileage rate: $.50 a mile for 2010, parking, tolls, ferries, and the business portion of car loan interest and personal property tax.

Personal property tax (not charged in all states) is the amount of tax you pay each year when you pay for car registration each year. Part of this fee is a tax. Look for it on the bill.

The business portion of these last two expenses is determined by dividing your business miles by the total miles you drove your car. So, 2,000 business miles and 10,000 total miles = 20% business use.
