Thanks Tom in advance! I am needing your suggestion on hiring my own children...I read in your guides about this and have done what was said. I have job description for them & they recorded time on time sheets I made. I have now opened checking accounts for them and pay them with a check. But before they had checking accounts I paid them with cash or just purchased items they wanted. I have recorded the cash payments on time sheets and have marked receipts for the items purchased. Can I still claim this for their pay?

    Hiring own children

Congratulations on doing the right thing and following the rules when hiring your own children. Many providers don't do this. Yes, you can deduct payments to your own children when you paid in cash or bought items since you kept good records to show this.
