    Piano Tuning/Repair?

I use my piano daily in my daycare to play songs for the kids to sing to and they are allowed to play around on it. I don't teach them formal lessons, but we talk about high/low pitches, fast/slow, loud/soft....etc. It's a great tool! This year I needed it tuned and some keys repaired. Can I claim this? Where would I put this as an expense?

Yes of course! If you use it outside of daycare hours, you’d use your time-space percentage. If you use it exclusively for daycare then you can deduct the full cost. As for which line to use, maybe others can speak to that.

Correct. Put this under Other expenses on Schedule C. You can call it whatever you want, perhaps, "Household Items."
