A little late to be asking, but...........

I show the monthly checks from the food program as "other income." I was just looking at last year's taxes and I don't see where the meals are listed as a deduction. Should I have listed it on schedule C?

I show the monthly checks from the food program as "other income." I was just looking at last year's taxes and I don't see where the meals are listed as a deduction. Should I have listed it on schedule C?

Yes, show your monthly checks as Other Income on Schedule C. Show your food expenses as Other Expenses on Schedule C. You can put your food expenses on any line on Schedule C, but Other Expenses seems best. If you didn't claim any food expenses, amend your tax return and get a refund.
