    Running Two Businesses

Can you deduct the cost of having daycare and another business in the home? I have a space that is dedicated only to daycare. Yet, I use every room in my house for daycare, too. Storing items, sleeping, etc.

Then my husband also has another side business where he uses one of our rooms for an office. The room is also a daycare write-off because I have a child who sleeps in there during the day.

    Is this double dipping?

Your husband can only claim some of your house expenses if he uses a room in your home exclusively for her business. So, if you have a child who sleeps in the room, he can't count it.
