    If it cost less than $2,500 you can deduct the business portion in one year. If it costs more you would depreciate it over 39 years. However, there is also a new rule that may allow you to deduct it in one year: http://tomcopelandblog.com/when-is-a...t-now-a-repair

          You can always deduct the business portion of a repair in one year, regardless of the cost. Apply your time-space%.
