Season Tickets - For Tom

Hi Tom,

I'm wondering about season tickets and if I can write a portion of then off. I want to purchase them for our local hockey team and use half of them, while letting daycare parents use the other half for free. Just as a perk. Is this an expense I can write-off?

The only way you could deduct hockey tickets is if you went to the hockey game with the parents and had discussions about business before or afterwards, and you kept a record of this discussion. Simply giving parents tickets is not deductible.
