Not Quite Daycare Question For Tom

We are in MN. We cannot take the Mn property tax refund because we claim the business use of our home for taxes. Fair enough. We also claim our college age daughter because we pay most of her expenses.

She has been living in another town, but we are also on the lease, and pay the majority of her rent.
Can WE fill out the Mn property tax refund based on her CRP, which would allow her to get the refund even though we claim her as a dependent on our taxes (disqualifying her from receiving the refund?)

    Hope that makes sense.

To be eligible for the property tax refund, you can only apply the personal portion of your property tax. Your daughter can't claim the credit because she is your dependent. You can't claim the credit for her residence because you don't live there.
