State of MI Taxes

I'm going to blow a gasket. I'm not sure what to do. I opened in April of 2014 and the state of Michigan keeps sending me bills for withholding taxes for Jan-Mar. I've filled out the forms and marked them as "0" - they claim they never got them. I've done this twice.

I've called repeatedly - doesn't matter. They say fill out the forms again.

I also accidentally filled out July- sept as a quarterly instead of monthly and I kept getting big bills for Aug and Sept.

I'm at my wits end. Who can help me? Does an accountant do this?

I may sound stupid for asking this, but what forms are you talking about? I'm in Michigan too and haven't gotten any? Is it because you already did your taxes? I have an accountant set up to do all of my daycare tax stuff in february. Hope I'm not missing something! I was going to talk to my accountant today and can ask if you can be more specific about what forms you're taking about!

Monthly and quarterly tax forms. I don't know how some people say they don't pay all year. The state of MI has been harassing me for taxes every month since I opened. And I send mine in!

Last year I sent my quarterly taxes into the state and also did federal. At the end of the year the state claimed I never paid taxes to them. I had the cleared checks to prove it but nope, they claimed they never got them. I'm still dealing w/that issue.

I'll be watching this thread, cause Michigan apparently has issues with honesty.

Send the forms once more by certified mail. Then ignore future billings. Or, you can visit the tax office for the state and sort it out in person.
