    Form 8829 Help

Normally I use MMK and it does all these calculations for me but since we moved July 1 last year, I have to figure out my time/space % manually. I am really confused on filling in Part I. I read the instructions and Tom's blog but am still confused. Here are my specifics for home #1.

Total sq footage of home - 2358
Total sq footage used exclusively for daycare - 636 or 27%
Total sq footage used regularly for daycare - 569 or 24%

Total hours daycare related - 1238.25
    Total hours available - 4320

Can someone tell me what numbers go on what line on form 8829? I know how to calculate it but can't figure out what goes where on their form. Thanks.

You can't fill out Form 8829 as normal when you have exclusive use rooms. The instructions to Form 8829 say to calculate your time-space % on a separate piece of paper and put the answer on line 7 of the form.

    Here's how you calculate this:
    Exclusive use space: 27%
    Regular use space: 1238.25 hours divided by 4320 hours = 28.66% x 24% space = 6.8%
    27% + 6.8% = 33.8% time-space
Enter 33.8% on line 7 and leave lines 1-6 blank.
