    Claiming Staff Food Cost

    So I have 4 staff.

Due to capacity regulations, I can't allow them to go off the premises of the daycare to take a break, so I buy food, coffee, bottle water and so on to make sure they have plenty to eat when they take break.

I buy this stuff specifically for them and I also let them eat with the dcks if their shift falls through lunch, snack, etc.

Can I claim any of those expenses?

You can deduct 100% of the cost of the food for your staff.

Where would we list the food expense? Would it just be added to the kids food expense (for example, could we print out the food expense on mmk and add to that amount?)

It doesn't matter what you call it. You can lump it with children's food, or call it a new expense category "staff food".
