    Trash removal

When claiming my $39 trash removal that I pay every three months, do I deduct that using time/space or Actual Business Use in my MMK? I was doing time/space, but I think I remove more trash for my childcare then for my family, so I was thinking of doing Actual Business Use and claiming 50%.

The same thing for my internet. I believe I use the internet for 60% personal, 40% business, but this is just a guess. Is this to be claimed Actual Business use or should I be using time/space?

Thank you in advance, it is so helpful to have you all here, working together to help.

It's wise to use your time-space % for shared items, unless you have some records to show how you calculated an actual business use %. So, it's not enough to "guess" that it's 40% business. To use an actual business use % you should track the business and personal use of an item for at least a month or two.

Thank you so much. I certainly don't keep track of time spent, and don't think it would be worth my time and effort to keep track. I will use time/space. Thank you!!!
