    Category To File Deduction Under

I recently placed some mulch in my front yard with some flowers, not too costly, but just enough to add some curb appeal. I also need to place some ground cover underneath my swing-sets, per licensing regulations. I am trying to decide which category to file these under. Is this something that will depreciate in value, so place it under category Home Improvement? Or Home Repair And Maintenance? Supplies? Other?

I found some of my answer under this thread:

All things related to Taxes and running a Daycare post here. Topics of tax exemptions, forms, filings, tax write offs, IRS etc.

I'd treat this as a repair/maintenance expense on Form 8829. Don't depreciate it.
