Donated Gift Certificate for Child care

We have a big fund raiser this coming weekend and I donated a gift certificate for weekend child care services up to $100.00.

Where do I, or can I, record that in my records for come tax time?

the fundraiser is a silent auction. I will not receive any profits for this GC or the services UNLESS they go over the 100.00 limit

You cannot deduct this as a business expense. If someone wins, you will be reporting less income this year and your taxes will be lower. But, don't record it anywhere since it's not a deduction.

If they are not clients that buy it, why can it not be advertising? or a donation on her personal taxes

It's not advertising because she didn't pay for the advertising. It's not a personal deduction because IRS Publication 526 says you can't deduct donated services.
