What Can I Shred?

I know we have been told this before, but I am really in the decluttering mode right now (hoping it lasts!)

What can I shred and what do I need to save???

Exactly what tax years do I need to keep as of today?

I would like to know too! Also how long do I need to save receipts and "proof" to back up what I filed?
I have heard diff answers so would love to know!

I was just going to ask the same question!! I am FINALLY going thru YEARS worth of paperwork and I hate having to keep so much. Found my old phone bill statements from 2003 - so was looking to see if I had to keep them. Guess I can shred them, LOL!!
